Unrequited Love
This gorilla is suffering from a case of unrequited love. For about ten minutes prior to this photo being taken, this gorilla was chasing his mate around the enclosure. She repeatedly rebuffed him and finally hit him in the face. He then retreated to the corner of the enclosure to sulk and ponder his rejection.
